The progression from Solidarity Strikes Must Be Legal! to Break The Anti-Union Laws! was a positive step - but now, a slide.

We need to encourage workers to have confidence in their own ability to fight for themselves (which, after all, is the mainstay of marxist theory), and not rely on union 'leadership'. By no means tear up your union cards - but WL should not entrench the power of the bureaucracy by propagating the view that lobbying union hierarchies has revolutionary content, or is even necessary for limited change. Ultimately, the only thing that makes an leadership sit up and take notice is power and confidence growing at the grassroots: this should be the sole focus of revolutionary politics.

(At the moment of posting, only the headline is visible online, so it could be that the article body transcends the perspective I impute to it - if so, apologies.) Solidarity.
