How to stop the war - REVO style!

Submitted by Janine on 15 April, 2003 - 9:10

Young activists involved in the anti-war movement may have come across a group called ‘Revo.’ This is the youth wing of another group called ‘Workers’ Power.’ The main focus of Revo’s campaigning recently has been to call for a ‘Victory to Iraq.’ We thought it was time someone got in touch with them…

Type this up on your computer and send it to info@worldrevolution.org.uk. If you don’t have a comp, get a mate with one to do it…Revo need to know you’re behind them!

Dear Revo,

I'm glad to hear you're eventually putting your 'Victory to Iraq' slogan into action. This sounds exciting - I'd like to volunteer.

I'm fed up with all those Bolshy students going on about the US and Saddam “both” being bastards. Saddam is an anti-working class, totalitarian dictator who'd kill socialists the first chance he got, but that shouldn't bother us, should it? He's fighting Bush and Blair. He must be on our side now! Victory to his anti-imperialist struggle I say. Sod the working class - joining Saddam's army is a much better way to stop the war. How soon can you put us in touch?

Yours Eagerly,

............................ (Your name and shoe size (for the regulation boots) here)

PS. Are any of you lot going?
PSS: If its too late this time, perhaps you could get together a brigade to support the Stalinist dictatorship in North Korea - I saw a TV programme about the place the other week, it seems like a laugh in Pyongang. AND they say they're 'revolutionaries'...or how about Libya? Colonel Gadaffi seems like a nice bloke - he has an all-women bodyguard troop - and, just like Saddam, he calls himself a 'socialists,' doesn't he, and he hates Bush, and that's all that matters...surely?!
