Three socialist feminist events in London before Christmas

Submitted by AWL on 7 December, 2011 - 5:07

Following the success of the "Is this as good as it gets?" conference on 26 November, London Workers' Liberty has three socialist feminist events coming up before Christmas: a women-only discussion on LGBTQ struggles, a public forum on feminism and sexual moralism and a social with a showing of 'Made in Dagenham'.

LGBTQ: STRUGGLES, ACTIVISM AND THE POLITICS OF LIBERATION
First Women's Fightback discussion and reading group
7pm, Friday 9 December
**Meet outside the poetry library in the Royal Festival Hall, Waterloo**
Take the glass lift up to the 5th floor and the Poetry Library is right there - call 07883 520 852 or the workers there are very helpful too!
A new discussion and reading group open to all self-defining women to discuss feminism, socialist ideas and to make plans for the Women's Fightback newspaper - after this on the 3rd Friday of every month.
Our first discussion will be on LGBTQ struggles of the past and today: with Maria Exall - LGBTQ and Communication Workers' Union activist.
● How will the Tory cuts affect the LGBTQ voluntary sector it support services for LGBT people?
● What's going on for LGBTQ campaigning today?
