International working women's day
Established in 1911, International Women’s Day was first proposed by Clara Zetkin and other socialists as a way of making solidarity with the trade union and other class struggles of working-class women. For many years now the “working-class” has gone out of International Women’s Day which at best is a “celebration” of feminist (and not so) feminist women in history, the arts, politics and sport.
