Drivers' duties for the new Northern Line timetable are rubbish. There are a significant number of duties which have 4hrs15 on one half, or very close to it - which given the regularity with which the Northern Line runs late, means that people doing these duties will almost inevitably go over hours.
The new timetable has not sorted out the endemic late running, and passengers especially at the north end of the line get a raw deal as trains are short-tripped in order to recover late running.
The unions need to take up the issue and put some pressure on management - it is unacceptable that drivers are working systematic daily overtime.
