A Stone Answers

Mere stones, Yates jeered, to trouble the living stream.
Inside, the stone troubles the living stone,
Confronting the heedless stream, the moving seam;
Confronting life as life is lived, sans esteem,
Inwardly guided, driven, and, always, alone.
