Where to Look for Savings

Posted in Tubeworker's blog on ,

Armed with the TfL Annual Accounts and a calculator, we can work out how much TfL's very own fat cats are trousering and identify some savings that the company could make.

TfL paid 328 employees more than £100,000 in the last financial year. We know that London is a costly place to live, but seriously, no-one needs that much in order to get by.

The figures show that if their pay were reduced to a mere £100,000 - still a very generous and comfortable living - TfL would save an annual £14m. That is nearly one third of the amount that the ludicrously-titled 'Fit For The Future - Stations' will save.

We suggest to TfL's overpaid bosses that instead of looking to our jobs as a way of saving money, they look rather closer to home!
