Sponsored Stations?

Another jolly good wheeze from those excitable Hooray Henries in the GLA Tory group. They want London Underground to sell its station names to corporate sponsorship.

Yes, if they get their way, you could soon be working at Barclays Baker Street, McDonald's Marble Arch or Golders Phillip Green. Might sound a whizz idea to them, but then again, they don't have to work here, do they?

Look it's really quite simple. If you want to get corporate money into London Underground, then increase the tax on them, make them actually pay it, and hand over the money. No need for this hare-brained scheme.

Guess we shouldn't be surprised, though. Most politicians, especially Tories, are already sponsored by big business. ;-)
