Having been first aiders on the stations for many years, providing care to thousands of customers, some staff are now being told that there are ‘too many’ first aiders and that when the three year licence expires, it will not be renewed.
Not so long ago, we were so desperate that staff were put under pressure to become first aiders. Why are there suddenly ‘too many?’. Who has set this new limit?
We suspect it's another way of saving money. This penny pinching will directly harm the service and safety for passengers. Sounds like typical LU.
