Call Centre Staff Fear for Safety

Posted in Tubeworker's blog on ,

As one of the Pier Walk (North Greenwich) brigade, I think that Jubilee Line weekend engineering work has become a safety issue.

Although those of us who work nights leave together and get on the buses together, we are often met by a host of angry people who have had a night out at the Dome and had a drink too many and now cannot get home. A couple of weeks ago they had to close the bus station as there had been a fight and blood had been spilled.

Although the team leaders and managers do what they can they do not have the power to change things. What if an angry person with a knife decided to show their 'maturity' by attacking one of us? Heads would roll you might say, but then it would be far far too late. So please senior management we need some action now.
