And on the subject of new train stock, it seems that there are a couple of glitches with the new Victoria line trains - a less-than-perfect PA system, and a problem with the doors whereby the 'sensitive edge' may not stay sensitive forever.
So, which of these two problems do you think management are prioritising sorting out before the trains go into passenger service (due very shortly)? PAs or passenger safety? Yep, you guessed it - PAs!
But hang on - doesn't LUL take Vic line door safety so seriously that it's even worth sacking a driver for one mistake?! It's enough to make you think that Carl Campbell's sacking was more about management asserting themselves than about passenger safety.
