Protest to defend two ISS cleaner reps from sacking

Posted in Tubeworker's blog on ,

Clara and Mary, both tube cleaner union reps, are both fighting to defend their jobs on Thursday. Clara is the Cleaners' Grade Secretary and was key in making last summer's cleaners' strike happen. The company have come up with trumped up charges to get her out of her job, and she faces a disciplinary for gross misconduct. Mary has already been sacked for allegedly sleeping on duty, (whereas she had in fact sustained an injury to her eye at work!) On Thursday, she is appealing to get her job back.

The cleaning companies on the underground have already had a really effective purge of the reps they could get rid of through immigration clampdowns.

Please come along to the solidarity demonstration organised to coincide with the disciplinaries and try and get as many people there as possible!

Protest outside ISS Offices, Thursday 8th Jan.

Meet at London Bridge Station, outside WH Smiths at 10am.

SOLIDARITY IS STRENGTH.
