New Fares Rip Off Our Passengers

As of yesterday, Tube fares went up by an average 6% - way above inflation, and at a time when our passengers, like us, are feeling the bite of economic crisis.

The Mayor may like to boast that the £4 zone 1 cash fare has been frozen, but that £4 is such a rip-off to start with that it hardly deserves boasting about. Doubtless the Mayor will be nowhere to be seen when resentful customers decide to point out the poor value they are getting for their money to frontline staff. We suggest pointing out to them that it is not us who decide the fares.

LUL and its political puppet masters can bleat on all they like about 'customer care', but what 'customers' really want is to be able to travel quickly, comfortably and safely to their destination, without being ripped off. And this latest annual fare hike flies in the face of that.
