The General Secretary election in RMT gives transport workers an opportunity to discuss what kind of unions, and what kind of trade unionism, we need. How should union democracy operate? How can we empower marginalised groups within our unions? How can we ensure our unions are responsive to the struggles we face in the workplace? Join us to discuss these issues. Members of all LU unions are welcome.

Speakers include:

Tracy McGuire, National Education Union (NEU) National Executive Committee (pc)
David King, Secretary, RMT Newcastle Rail and Catering branch; Chair, RMT National Disabled Members Advisory Committee (pc)
