Banking on it?

In another sign of lurching back to “business-as-usual” before it's safe, LU wants to deploy SRT staff at the bottom of escalators at Bank. Exactly why the company wants to do this isn't clear; what we do know is that SRT union reps weren't consulted on this plan, it was just unilaterally announced.

This is, quite simply, dangerous. There's no accessible place of safety for any staff positioned there, and it'd be almost impossible for workers to maintaining safe distancing if numbers build up. Reps are on the case and organising to stop the plan from going ahead.

If LU carries on regardless, workers need to refuse the unsafe task.
