Terrorist Gets Tube Job screamed the headline on the Evening Standard's poster boards. For a fleeting moment, Tubeworker thought that they might mean Bob Kiley, what with him being a former CIA agent and the CIA notoriously assisting various terrorist outfits. But hey, that would be both years out-of-date and rather tenuous.
It appears that Mohamed Mostafa, who has convictions for terrorism in Yemen, got a job with a contractor. We would like to remind readers that the last terrorist to get a job on the Tube was one David Copeland, Nazi nailbomber, who worked as a spark for one of the ragbag collection of sub-sub-sub-contractors that just about hold the railway together.
Hey, ending contracting-out, reintegrating the Underground and having the entire workforce employed by London Underground might just allow you to control recruitment.
