Rebranding

New Labour, New Britain ... New Metronet.

Yes really. Only two years old, and it is rebranding itself. Maybe it's trying to throw off the image of a profit-grabbing consortium that can't maintain the railway properly.

A tip: no matter how hard you try to rebrand yourself, it is hard to throw off that image when you actually are a profit-grabbing consortium that can't maintain the railway properly.

A better way for Metronet to improve its image would be to treat its workers decently and employ more of them rather than get rid of those it already has. Or else, give up entirely and hand the whole job back to the public sector.

Meanwhile, the Metronet big cheeses have allegedly given themselves new job titles, President, Vice President This, Vice-President That, Vice-President The Other, and - for all we know - Deputy Assistant Supreme Commander of the Inter-Galactic Fleet.

Are we impressed? Er, no.
